The price of sin is high

We must, therefore, live carefully not carelessly.

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

2 Corinthians 5:21.

Jesus died for all. His salvation is offered to all regardless of previous failure or background. The precious blood of the lamb of God was shed to redeem us from death. 

The cross is the epitome of blessings. There was a divine exchange on the cross. Jesus took away our sin and curse; we received righteousness and blessings. He separated us from our ancestral ways and customs by His precious blood, bringing us into the lineage of Kingship! 

Now we belong to an everlasting kingdom — the city of Zion, the new Jerusalem where we reign in power and glory with Jesus Christ. 

We must, therefore, let go of the old patterns. We will never serve in an empowering way if we hold on to our old self, our old garbage, our old citizenship.

We drift when we lose sight of why God left us on earth. Our goal is to participate in God’s redemptive agenda for the world. When we embrace God’s plan, we receive His power to serve. Because we are coworkers with Christ, building on the foundation He set up.

“Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.”

1 Corinthians 3:12-14.

We must do this remembering that one day we shall stand before our Holy Father to give an account of our lives. Thus, as believers we must live carefully, not carelessly; working our salvation with fear and trembling. Because the price of sin is high. Amen!
