Is success making you or it is breaking you?

True success should be an opportunity to grow with others.

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

1 Timothy 6:17-19.

Will success make or destroy us? Will getting everything we ever wished for substantiate our virtues or enable our vices to blossom?

When some people reach the pinnacle of success, they maintain sobriety and contentment. Others take success as an opportunity to blow the trumpet about how superior they are, so they start looking down on others. They brag about and show off their success.

However, success should make us better—more empathetic, compassionate and principled. It shouldn’t solicit compromises we would have earlier found inappropriate. It shouldn’t cause us to ignore or forget our friends and fall short of our values and God’s grace.

True success shouldn’t be a chance to curtail the progress of others, it should be an opportunity to grow with them. It shouldn’t be an excuse to mislead yourself and others into retrogression.

Success reveals who we truly are — our personality. Who we are, determines what we’ll do when we reach the height. Don’t wait to reach the top to be a nice person.

Always maintain humility and when you reach the top, never forget where you came from — the ground. Because no matter how high we have flown, we will all descend to the place of our origin and become part of the very same fabric we’re made of. Earth.

Ask yourself: who are you in reality? Will people admire what the success you aspire or you’re building will convey?.

Stay blessed!
